FORBURY-NZ METRO TC, July 14-15

J Scott The Inside Word

FORBURY PARK TC, Thursday, July 14

Race 2: JOE LOUIS (8, Samantha Ottley), 2200m std: “He’s still learning and just having a race before a spell. He’s got enough ability to be a winning chance but will be better as a three-year-old.”

Race 5: REALLY DESIRABLE (5, Blair Orange) & GLENFERRIE CLASSIC (9, Samantha Ottley), mob. 2200m: “Really Desirable is racing good. Just needs luck.”

“Glenferrie Classic has drawn terrible but is racing good. Hopes And Dreams, from the draw and from the Graeme Anderson stable first-up, looks the danger.”

Race 7: PERISSA (6, Samantha Ottley), mob. 2700m: “She’s finding it hard in the grade she’s in.”

Race 8: ITZ RISKY BUSINESS (11, Samantha Ottley), mob. 2200m: “Is racing good and if he gets a good run through early he won’t be far away.”

Race 4: KOWHAI MONARCH (8, Samantha Ottley), UR 2, 10m, 2600m std: “Is racing great and strikes a strong field but he may surprise a few.”

Race 7: CROFT BAY (11, Samantha Ottley), mob. 1950m: “Is racing good but is in a very strong grade.”

Race 8: WHITTAKER (10, Samantha Ottley), mob. 1950m: “I’ve only had him for 10 days. He is a lovely colt who trialled good before we got him. I am hoping he is a horse that lifts off the place as he’s looking for a break so we will know more after Friday.”

Race 10: ZENA MAC (8, Wayne Higgs), UR 1, 15m, 2000m std: “Tough off a handicap over 2000m but its hard to get a race that suits her.”
