“Zakspatrol disappointed last time at Rangiora. With a good performance he’d be a big chance in this but may be looking for a spell.”
“Gotta Grunter put in a good effort last week. If he races up to that he’ll be a good chance again.”
Race 7: ASTRAPI (10, Michelle Neilson), 1, 10m, 2600m: “He’s proving to be a headache. Is good enough on his day, but more hopeful than confident.”

Goodness Gracious Me, shown stretching out at the Motukarara workouts on June 28 for Kim Butt. She missed a start last week with a foot infection and resumes at Oamaru on Sunday.

“Sunoflindenny’s fresh-up but I’m pretty happy with him and he may take a bit of catching.”
Race 6: JACCKA LEN (9, Michelle Neilson), mob. 2000m: “Drawn bad but with luck can be hard to beat.”
Race 7: STRIKE ON COMMAND (SCR), GOODNESS GRACIOUS ME (11, Jonnny Cox), mob. 2000m:
“Goodness Gracious Me seems over her foot infection. Her work has been good and a good chance.”
