Race 4: SO DEVINE (9, Blair Orange), 2400m std: “Stepped well and did everything right in her Addington trial last week. She should be in with a chance.”

Race 6: SMOKE N FIRE (7, Mark), mob. 1609m: “She was better in her trial last week but looking for luck from the draw.”

Race 8: CORINGA DELIGHT (8, Wayne Higgs) & DERRINGER (10, Blair Orange), mob. 2400m: “Coringa Delight had to work from a bad draw at Invercargill and went ok, so a place chance from the draw.”

“Derringer is racing good and follows the favourite so should get a good trip and a chance again.”

Race 11: DANKE (10, Mark), 3, 10m, 2400m std: “He didn’t back up at Rangiora three days after Kaikoura but he’s had a week to get over it. Hopefully, he’ll be running on.”

Race 12: FAIR DINKUM BROMAC (12, Laura McKay) & PERISSA (13, Steve O’Brien), mob. 2400m: “Fair Dinkum Bromac will be looking for luck but could be an outside first 4 show if things go his way.”

“Steve O’Brien (co-owner) is making a comeback and having a drive on Perissa. She’s going good and she can do a bit of work from the back row, so has an each-way chance.”
