Race 2: IS THIS LOVE (3, Kimberly Butt), 1700m std: “Made a mistake last week. A chance providing she does things right, but one you have to take on trust.”
Race 3: ASTRAPI (5, Blair Orange), 10m, 2700m std: “Won really good last week. He’d have to be hard to beat again.”
Race 4: SUPERIOR DESIRE (5, Blair Orange), mob. 2200m: “Hasn’t had a trial this time in but usually goes good fresh. He’s raced good at Forbury previously and its a good race for him to kick off, so we’re hopeful he’ll be competitive.”
Race 8: EASTBURN MARA (10, Blair Orange), 2200m std: “He’s a half-brother to Lively Eastburn who we qualified in July. He went ok at the Ashburton trials, being run down for third, so another we’re going down there hopeful that he’s improved with the trial.”
Race 9: PAT’S FIRST SUN (8, Kimberly Butt), 2700m std: “It all worked out good with him last week but its a jump up to the 1-win grade this week, so he’ll have to do things right.”
