Race 3: ROCK TILL YOU DROP (6, Blair Orange), mob. 2300m: “Went well in the stronger maiden the first day. This looks a little bit easier today so a strong chance providing he backs up.”

Race 5: KOWHAI SUNRISE (6, Terry Chmiel), fr & SUNOFLINDENNY (14, Mark), UR 1, 20m 2700m std: “Kowhai Sunrise didn’t step the first day, so just forget the run. She’d be an upset place show if she gets away with them.”

“Sunoflindenny was very good on Friday. He tied up the second day at Nelson, so providing the same thing doesn’t happen, a good chance again with Sheemon the danger.”

Race 6: SMART CAESAR (9, Mark), mob. 2300m: “Did everything right and was very good in the maiden on Friday. Going to be harder from the outside draw up in grade today, so place best with New Deal drawn to win.”

Race 7: CLASSIEBEE (8, Blair Orange), 1, 10m, 2300m std: “Fought well on Friday. A good each-way chance again.”

Race 8: STRIKE ON COMMAND (11, Blair Orange), mob. 2300m: “Very pleased with him on Friday. A strong C1 field again but he’s racing good and should be in the first four.”

Race 9: GOODNESS GRACIOUS ME (2, Craig Thornley), mob. 1609m: “Won good first-up for us at Ashburton and this looks no harder. Should be pretty hard to beat.”

Race 10: SAVEAPATROL (5, Blair Orange), 1, 20m 3200m std: “Franco Nelson was getting it easy on Friday and nothing was moving so I had to put him up outside the leader. He fought well in the sprint home but Franco Nelson was unbeatable with an easy run until the half. Dunn’s one, Donegal’s Guest has been racing super but we should be able to make a race of it with him.”

Outside drives

Race 2: SCOTLYNN MACH (11), mob. 2300m: “Went ok without much luck on Friday. Should be an each-way chance with the right luck.”

Race 4: PEMBROOK BELLE (6), mob. 2300m: “Did a bit of work and battled away ok in the run home the first day. A place chance with a bit of luck but she’s in the strongest maiden.”

Race 11: JOHNNY MICK (6), mob. 2400m: “Looking for luck with four good chances drawn inside us.”
