Master Lavros, ready to go to war again with arch rival Stent in the $250,000 Hellers Dominion Trot at Addington on Friday.

Race 1: SUNOFLINDENNY (5, UR 2, Blair Orange), 2600m std: “He usually goes a good one fresh and went near enough at the Cup trials. He can’t beat Prince Fearless the way he won on Tuesday run so just a rough place chance.”

Race 7: KOWHAI WHIZ (11, Blair Orange), 2, 20m 2600m std: “He won well for Laura (McKay) at Rangiora but will need a bit of luck off 20m. Harriet Of Mot was good winning at the Cup trials so looks the hardest off the front.”

Race 9: MASTER LAVROS (9, Mark), 3200m std: “He seems a bit better after his run at Kaikoura. He should go good but he’ll need to be at his best the way Stent’s going.”

Race 12: ICE CRUSHER (3, Blair Orange), mob. 2600m: “Its a big step up after winning at Invercargill. He’s in a strong field so will be interesting to see how he handles it.”

Outside drives

Race 4: ARTICULIGHT (6), mob. 2600m: “Went a big race with no luck on Tuesday.  A chance if he backs up.”

Race 11: CORZIN TERROR (7), mob. 1950m: “He battled away in the cup on Tuesday so looking for luck.”

Race 7: REAL TORQUE (9, Maurice McKendry), mob. 2200m: “She trialled good last week before going up. She could end up getting a good run from the draw and be a good each-way chance.”
