“Spooky ran an improved trial on Monday and each-way chance.”

“Bettor Under Fire is fresh up. He’s been bit crook so hopefully over it and will need luck.”

INVERCARGILL HRC, Saturday, May 27

Race 1: POMME ROY (7, Blair Orange), mob. 1700m: “He gets in the right race to start off. He’s completely sound and just had a wind op previously. He seems good but has been off the track for a long time so will improve with run.”

RANGIORA HRC, Sunday, May 28

Rocknroll Nevin, a likely improver for Rangiora on Sunday.

Race 4: SMOKE N REACTOR (6, Samantha Ottley), mob. 2000m: “First-up in a nice field but is improving all the time.”

Race 5: ROCKNROLL NEVIN (10, Samantha Ottley), 2600m std: “Good fresh up in trial and average at Ashburton but has picked up and an each-way chance.”

Outside drives

Race 2: MR FAHRENHEIT (4), 2600m std: “Racing good and if he does things right is a winning chance but Kai Time trialled very good last week so looks a big danger.”

Race 10: BUSHIDO (4), mob. 2600m: “Pulled hard last week so beat himself. Looking for improved performance.”
