Race 3: KOWHAI SUNRISE (12, UR 4, Mark), ASTRAPI (14, Kimberly Butt), 2, 20m & EYRE I COME (18, Blair Orange), UR 2, 20m, 2600m std:

Eyre I Come, has to be respected with a good start off 20m in the Jeff Dermott Painting & Decorating - Alabar S/S Handicap Trot at Addington.

Eyre I Come, has to be respected with a good start off 20m in the Jeff Dermott Painting & Decorating – Alabar S/S Handicap Trot at Addington.

“Kowhai Sunrise scored a good win the first day at Blenheim and made a mistake the second. Its a nice field but has an each-way chance.”

“Astrapi is a bit of a headache. Take on trust.”

“If Eyre I Come gets round in one piece he is the horse to beat.”

Race 6: CHAMPAGNE DREAMS (5, Blair Orange) & TWICE THE DELIGHT (7, Mark), mob. 1950m:

“Champagne Dreams is racing good but biggest test to date. She can’t read a racebook so a place show.”

“Twice The Delight has just gone off a little, which is a shame, but still a place chance if she races good on the night.”

Race 8: ZAKSPATROL (3, Blair Orange), 2600m std: “He went terrible last week. Have found nothing amiss, but will need luck.”

Race 9: JOHNNY FOX (SCR).

Outside drives

Race 1: FRANCO TEVEZ (5), mob. 1950m: “I usually go good when I drive one for Terry and Glenys. He went under 3:00 when he won his maiden at Nelson so outside place.”

Race 4: NERO STAR (13), mob. 1950m: “He’s been either first or second in his last six for Nigel McGrath and went good when beaten by Art Union at Ashburton. Should be a strong chance  show even from the draw.”

GERALDINE TC, Saturday, January 31

Race 2: BETTOR LUCK (12, Michelle Neilson), mob. 1850m: “If he gets around without galloping he could get some of it.”

Race 7: ZENA MAC (12, Wayne Higgs), mob. 1850m: “Racing good and always a chance.”

Race 8: CHARMING LAVRA (9, Blair Orange), mob. 1850m: “Made a mistake the second day at Blenheim. The distance suits providing she’s mistake free and looking for luck from the draw.”

Race 10: REKLAW SUPREME (3, Wayne Higgs) & FAIR DINKUM BROMAC (4, Kimberly Butt), 2500m std: “Its an easier race for Reklaw Supreme but he needs a good trip.”

“Fair Dinkum Bromac can bob up on the grass if he puts his mind to it but needs to improve.”

Outside drive

Race 1: MANAAKI (12, UR 2), 2500m std: “He’s first-up since the winter. He’s a half-brother to Kahdon who went good first-up last term then made mistakes so take on trust.”
