Top Quality Premier Harness
Action at Addington _ Saturday
Premier Racing at Addington this Saturday has terrific fields carded including some of the best horse flesh in Australasia.
The first feature of the day the Group 2 $60,000 Seelite Windows and Doors Sires Stakes 2YO Championship sees an even contest of talented juvenile trotters. There’s a lot of good form throughout the field with the likes of Daenerys Targaryen, One Over Da Moon, Dieu De L’amour (God Of Love), Trouble Rieu, Schleck and Hot Pants competing for major honours.
Race 6 sees the highly talented and winner of over $500,000 Bit Of A Legend line up, with it only getting better in the following race.
Wasn’t it great to see the mighty trotter Stig take out the Canam Rowe Cup last week at Alexandra Park ?.
He is one of New Zealand’s greatest trotters ever, has been through a three-year injury forced retirement and still comes out and defeats the best squaregaiters we have on offer. Great to have you here Stig at Addington on Saturday.
Then there’s Adore Me. What a freakish filly. She takes her place in the Group 1 $150,000 Nevele R Fillies Final at 3.26pm and you don’t want to miss her. She obliterated her rivals at harness headquarters last Friday night and looks trained to the minute to take out the prestigious fillies event. Drawn wide and with top class fillies Delightful Christian, Rozelski, Splendour, Kabet and Safedra going for gold she won’t have it all her own way. Still, she’s one of the best of her age group and sex we’ve seen and it’ll take a monumental effort from one of her rivals to stop her claiming the trophy.
Just after 4.30pm and the 2yo pacers go for glory in the Listed $225,000 PGG Wrightson New Zealand Yearling Sales 2YO Open.
Great field this highlighted by the boom kiwi bred, Australian-owned and trained Allblack Stride. The good looker was simply sublime winning at Addington recently and is sure to start a warm favourite. From 8 behind the mobile gate and with the likes of Isaiah, Sky Major and Meticulous drawn inside him he’ll want to be on his game. Throw in talented juveniles Cyclone Prince and Regulus from the second line and a keenly fought contest for the big money is sure to take place.
Premier day racing at Addington this Saturday kicks off at 11.30am.
