Danke, shown running on for fourth at Kaikoura on Monday for trainer Mark Jones. He gets another chance for Mark McNamara’s Danke for Coming Syndicate at Rangiora on Thursday.
Race 6: FAIR DINKUM BROMAC (12, Laura McKay), 2600m std: “He’s having his third race for the week but has been running on ok without a lot of luck so could be a place chance.”
Race 7: KOWHAI WHIZ (9, Laura McKay) & DANKE (10, Mark), mob. 2000m: “Kowhai Whiz is first-up since April but went ok at the trials last week. Another chance for Laura McKay to get her first placing but will improve with the run.”
“I didn’t think Danke would suit Kaikoura but he went better than I thought. A chance providing he does everything right.”
