Race 3: BETTOR LUCK (3, Michelle Neilson), 2600m std: “He’s going to Westport so a lead-up run on the grass for him. He couldn’t go with them in the fast maiden at Addington but hopefully this suits better. Outside place.”

Race 4: LOUIE FINN (8, Blair Orange), 2600m std: “We freshened him up after just going fair at Forbury at the end of October. He ran on ok for second at the Motukarara trials on Tuesday and should be better again for the race.”

Race 11: ZAKSPATROL (3, Blair Orange) & FAIR DINKUM BROMAC (9, Mark), 2600m std: “Zakspatrol’s won on the grass before at Methven. He’s been battling away lately and hopefully will go better on the grass.”

“Fair Dinkum Bromac’s good on the grass tracks and was bit unlucky last week at Addington. He could be a good place bet.”
